Backstage make up photo

{Make up stop}

I have always been a big fan of backstage photos and sneak peeks I feel that knowing what is happening behind the camera, is like discovering a new world; and since this is one of my favourite parts of a shoot I thought that I should give you all a small backstage taste of what took place back in August.

Location: Milies, Pelion, Greece.

Tap tap to a bit of Irish dance – volume 2

Irish dance volume 2 (or shall I say Sean Nos)

Dance and make up are two of my favourite things, all my friends know that, so why keep it a secret – especially when these two are combined you definitely can’t go wrong!

This time I didn’t do the dancing, but Mary- Beth Taylor did, all I did was to make her look her best at her 2nd DVD.

If you are interested in the products used for this make up please click here.

I was at her DVD launch party last night and really enjoyed those happy bits of Sean Nos (traditional Irish dancing).

For those interested in Irish dancing here is her promo video

I hope you enjoyed!

Tap tap to a bit of Irish dance

Last month I had the great opportunity to work for the second time with a very talented Irish dance dancer and teacher, Mary – Beth Taylor, for the creation of her second Irish dance teaching DVD. First time we got to work together was last August in her first teaching DVD where you can have a small preview here:

This was the first time that I got to experience a bit of Irish dancing so close so I have to admit that it was truly exciting!

{Mary Beth and her class in action}

For the first DVD we chose natural and earthy tones keeping always the red lipstick that Mary-Beth loves, adding that beautiful glow with the see-through loose Bourjois powder. {Bourjois loose powder}

{August 2011}

This years DVD is still in the making so I can only share with you the trial and backstage shots.

The shooting took place very early on a cold Saturday morning in October. We did the make up outdoors just to have the right light and to keep our model fresh….bbbrrrrrr!!!

Business make up: “The workshop”

A few days a go I held my first workshop, and I have to say that it was a great pleasure having all these lovely ladies attending!

Although  it was for limited numbers, I had a full house and from the feedback that I was given everybody seemed to enjoy it.

The techniques that were shown can be found on my previous post.

 Let the workshop begin…

Having the right palettes always helps….

Natural make up shouldn’t be hard to do.. in just a few minute I managed to transform 6 beautiful ladies….

Doesn’t she look beautiful, fresh and natural?…

Spending under 10 minutes to do your make up means that you have the right brushes and know how to use them… the ladies that attended the workshop now know how to do that!

Fresh, flawless, and young… these are the results that natural tones give you

Depending on your skin tone you can use pinks, light browns, golden browns, just play with what you have to get the desired result

If you want to apply bronzer use a small brush to have control and always start with less

Fresh, young, and flawless…. natural make up…..

I hope you enjoyed xx
